Introduction

My gaming is very limited as my parents were not big fans of video games or computer games, although I had a Nintendo when I was 5 in 1990 and then a Sega Genesis when I was a bit older, and I thought they were the most fun toys in the world. Between Super Mario Bros, The duck hunting game, and sonic the hedgehog I thought that life was great. My parents set a rule that we were only allowed to play for 1 hour a day as they thought video games were a waste of time and brain energy. I was always the kid who would wake up super early so that I could get extra time while everyone was sleeping.
As I entered middle school and then eventually high school my interest in video games dwindled as I was interested in music, and sports. I turned my attention to practicing for an hour to two hours every day for either my clarinet or piano lessons. I also played softball and soccer. By the time I got home at night, did my homework and had dinner I was exhausted and went to bed.
Now as an adult I have invested in a Wii and have to say that I spend more time than I care to admit entertaining myself with it. It's a great social activity to do when friends come over and it's fun to do by myself as well.
I look at gaming as a fun hobby and an occasional thing to do, but i'm sure if time allowed i'd be much more active.
